This is an Online Classroom. This course is designed to be conducted in 4 sessions, normally over a 4 week period. Each session will consist of a 2 hour block of instruction. Students will have a total of 8 contact hours with the instructor. In addition, all participants will be provided with access to recorded versions of the training.
During the first session of this course, the students will learn NICET policies and procedures, test taking strategies, and methods for quickly finding information in the required references. This is section of the course lays the ground work for everything else which follows.
During the second session, NFPA 13 is covered in depth. Students will learn code requirements and how to use the code to find requirements. Additionally the other codes and references are covered. This section of the course provides an in depth understanding of the purpose of each code and how the codes are used to determine requirements and the best protection. NFPA 101, The Life Safety Code and other suppression related requirements are explained in detail here as well.
The third session of this course starts out with NICET Level I & II work elements. The subjects of each work element are covered as well as passing strategies for the work elements. Sample test questions are provided for every Level I & II work element.
The fourth session focuses on NICET Level III work elements. All of these elements have sample questions as well to help attendees get familiar with NICET Test Questions. A sample test is administered with this course.
