Low Voltage 101
NTC's Low Voltage 101 Webinars are designed for the entry level designer, installer, and salesperson. They introduce the student to the fundamental concepts of low voltage systems to give them a strong base in system design, installation, and implementation.
Low Voltage 101 Webinars include NTC Professional Reference Books appropriate to the class topic. These books are written with the system designer, installer, and salesperson in mind. They are comprensive and complete, and wirtten in plain English. They take the most complex topics in low voltage systems and make them easy to understand.
Low Voltage 101 Webinars also include 180 days access to Training Department for continued online self study. Training Department includes over 200 hours of training in low voltage topics.
NICET Video Security
NTC’s NICET Video Security (CCTV) Webinar training is intended for the low voltage professional. This course covers certification procedures and requirements, and testing strategies. Students attending this course will develop a strong understanding of video security (CCTV) systems.
This is a practical applications based training course. The information covered in this training directly applies to everyday work in the industry. This course provides students with in depth information on code compliance and proven standard practices for the industry. Those who attend this training will be better prepared to meet the professional challenges of the low voltage industry.
Students access the course through their web browser. They attend live scheduled webinar classes, viewing the video portion on their PC and participating in a conference call for the audio portion. The webinar class is conducted live and is completely interactive. The class is conducted over four weeks, in four two-hour sessions.
Students will receive a copy of the NTC Yellow Book (CCTV & Video System Design and Installation). This reference book is critical to the NICET test preparation process and make the testing process much easier, allowing the student to achieve his certification goals faster.
Students also receive access to NTC’s Online Self Study NICET Training Program, Training Department, for 180 days. This program gives the student access to recorded webinar sessions, and access to practice tests which cover topics they will encounter on the NICET exam.

NC SP-FA/LV Electrical Examination Training
This course reviews subject areas of the National Electrical Code (NFPA 70) applicable to the North Carolina SP-FA/LV (Special Fire Alarm/Low-Voltage) license classification examination, as well as the administrative requirements of the NCBEEC and the use of the National Fire Alarm Code (NFPA 72). The course emphasizes Code requirements that may not be familiar to the typical installer of low-voltage and power-limited circuits for security and fire alarm systems, but that are important for successfully taking the qualifying examination.
